UCL Global Master's Scholarship for International Students in the UK 2026

This scholarship is mainly awarded based on financial need. If your application is shortlisted, UCL will ask you to submit documents that show your financial situation. 

Because the main focus of this scholarship is financial need, your documents will be reviewed by UCL’s Student Funding Office. In some cases, if the scholarship is managed by a specific department or an outside organization, they will handle the financial review instead.

Here are the steps you need to follow to apply:

1. Apply for admission to UCL
   First, you must submit a complete application for a full-time Master’s degree at University College London. This includes submitting all your required references. You don’t need to wait for an offer, but your admission application must be complete before you can apply for the scholarship.
2. Wait until you can access the scholarship form
   After your admission application is complete and your fee status is confirmed, the scholarship application form becomes available online through UCL’s student system (called Portico).
3. Fill out the scholarship application form
   Log in to your UCL Portico account and find the funding section under your application. Complete the scholarship form with your details, financial information, and any other required answers.
4. Submit before the deadline
   Make sure to finish and submit your application before the scholarship deadline (5 pm BST, Thursday 7 May 2026 for the 2026/27 cycle).
5. Wait for shortlisting and results
   If you are shortlisted, UCL will contact you around mid-May to ask for proof of your financial situation. After that, successful applicants are usually informed by late June.
