To apply for the University College London undergraduate scholarships, these are the steps involved:
- You need to have obtained your portico student login details, Portico is a portal built for both students and staffs. Login with your student details using the link here

Click on the Staff and Students login which brings you to this page shown below

2. You will see a list of active applications and a “View” button attached to each one. Click on the “View” button for the application you wish to apply for funding for.
3. When you get to the application page, click “Funding” from the top menu.
4. This will take you to the funding page. To see the scholarships you can apply for, click “Check and apply” under “Funds Available.”
From the list, click on the name of the scholarship you want to apply for.
Note: If you are applying for funding for more than one programme, you will need to fill out a separate scholarship application for each one.

1 How will University College London determine if I am low income?
UCL generally considers a household to be low income if the total yearly income is £25,000 or less. They may also describe a household as lower income if the yearly income is £42,875 or less (or the equivalent amount in another country’s currency).
However, these figures are only used as a general guide. UCL also looks at each applicant’s full financial situation when making their decision, not just the income number alone
2 Can You Hold More Than One Scholarship?
Yes, you are allowed to apply for more than one scholarship as long as you meet the requirements for each one. If you are lucky enough to receive more than one award, you must let the Student Funding Office know if you get any extra funding after you have accepted a scholarship offer.
In some cases, your scholarship amount may be changed depending on the other funding you receive. For more details, you can always check the scholarship page or contact the Student Funding Office directly.
3 When Will You Receive the Scholarship Payment?
If your application is successful, you will receive your scholarship payment after you have fully enrolled in your course. Payments are usually made at the start of each term.

4 Can You Lose the Scholarship?
Yes, there are situations where your scholarship funding can stop. If your scholarship is based on academic performance and your department reports that your progress is not satisfactory, your funding may be cancelled.
You will also lose your funding if you pause your studies or withdraw from your course at UCL, and no further payments will be made.
When you receive your scholarship offer, UCL will send you an Award Agreement that explains all the rules and conditions of the scholarship. It is very important to read this carefully. If you break any of the rules, your funding can stop, and in some cases, you may be asked to return the money. If anything is unclear, you should contact the Student Funding Office for guidance.
